The San Juan Regional Medical Center has been re-designated as a baby-friendly hospital by Baby-Friendly USA. The hospital first received the designation in 2019 and will now hold the prestigious accolade through 2030. Baby-Friendly USA promotes the benefits of human breastfeeding, skin-to-skin contact, and bonding in the first days after birth that is free of commercial medical interests. These practices lead to better sleep, less crying and distress, and an improved breastfeeding experience for newborns. To learn more, visit sanjuanregional.com.
