Between the Small Business Opportunity Day and the La Plata Economic Alliance Summit, there are opportunities for networking and learning for everyone. There is still the opportunity to apply for FEMA aid for damage caused by the June 20th and 21st storms, but applications close before the end of the month. And take a trip down the yellow brick road with the Four Corners Musical Theatre's presentation of "The Wizard of Oz". Registration is now open for the La Plata County Economic Development Alliance Economic Summit. This year's summit on September 19th will feature the theme of "People, Place, and Purpose." The event will feature a variety of keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities. Property owners and renters who suffered damage during the storms on June 20th and 21st may be eligible for FEMA assistance, but applications must be submitted before August 19th. There are three ways to apply: by visiting disasterassistance.org, downloading the FEMA app, or calling the helpline between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Four Corners Musical Theatre presents the classic "Wizard of Oz," opening August 8th and running Thursdays through Sundays until August 18th.
