Mayor Nate Duckett has opened applications for the council seat in District 2, as there is now a vacancy with former city councilors, Sean Sharer stepping down after moving out of the district. To apply, you must live full-time in District 2, which is west of North Butler and south of 20th Street to the western and southern city limits. The first review of applications will take place around the 1st of February, and the position will remain open until it's filled. The collection of maps does require regular maintenance, and the GIS department is planning maintenance, which will result in an outage on the website. The outage will begin Thursday, January 11th, and everything should be back up and running by the end of the day on Tuesday, January 16th. Affected maps will include the assessor's, parcel maps, precinct, and political maps, and road, and oil, and gas maps. Make sure to renew your business license. It's that time of year, so visit the City Clerk's website to update and confirm your business's information and to renew your license.
