Get the perfect Valentine's Day gift at the San Juan College Native Arts Fair. Make sure you're putting the right things in your recycling bin. And Farmington High School will offer a two-day youth cheer clinic. You're watching the Local News Roundup, brought to you by Ace Hardware of Farmington and Three Rivers Brewery. I'm Connor Shreve. A Valentine's Day themed Native American Arts & Crafts Fair comes to San Juan College on Thursday, February 6th, from 9:00 to 6:00. More than two dozen Native American artists will be on hand, selling arts and crafts inside the Student Sun Lounge. Make sure your recycling right. Plastic bottles and aluminum cans are recyclable in Farmington, but glass is not. You can also recycle cardboard and paperboard, but too much of the wrong thing can result in decreased efficiency along with equipment breakdowns. Don't put any food, liquid, or foam containers in the recycling. Those items contaminate the load, and it will be discarded. Plastic bags, glass, and plants are not recyclable. Waste Management does have a home pickup program for items like batteries, chemicals, and electronics, along with special disposal locations listed on the city's website. Farmington High School's cheer team will host two youth cheer clinics on February 12th and 13th. They're open to kids from preschool through sixth grade. Cost is $25 for both sessions. The clinics will be from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the FHS Auxiliary Gym. Registration includes pom-poms and a bow. Register online or in person.
