We are giving away diapers in honor of Diaper Awareness Week. Cellular One has always prided itself on giving back to the community. The Smith Bagley Giving Foundation is super excited to bring this much needed help to our loyal customers here on the Navajo Nation.
Ladawn Hancock has been at the forefront of that effort for 20 years, helping to identify the biggest needs for tribal communities.
So one out of two families have a shortage of providing diapers for their families, so we're excited to help out with that need, like I said, in honor of Diaper Awareness Week.

Such as fairs, health expos, events for veterans. We're honored and privileged to do business on the Navajo Nation and grateful for the opportunity to help our our customers wherever we can. We get a lot of positive feedback, and it's just great to see the smiles on people's faces and know that you helped lighten a burden even if it's just a little bit. Every little bit helps so we're happy to do that.
In 2024, the company celebrated 30 years in business with a new emphasis on helping underserved groups like veterans, kids, and elders. Hancock says, the events are built to remove barriers for those who need goods and services.
They just need to come and we pass 'em out. There's no check, we don't ask how old your baby is. We are limiting it to one sleeve of diapers per family, just to try and serve as many people as we can, but we don't ask any questions. Just come and get your diapers.
The foundation is wrapping up its first summer in action having begun in April. It's led back-to-school efforts, an elder health expo, and a youth fishing derby among other events.
