I'm Connor Shreve. San Juan County has begun studying the feasibility of a Crisis Triage Center to address the current lack of adequate services for people in a mental health crisis. This study includes the creation of a business plan for identified services within the county. Learn more about the study at an upcoming presentation on Monday, November 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Farmington Civic Center. After a challenging year featuring extreme volatility in natural gas prices and purchase power, and the forced closure of the San Juan Generating Station, the city of Farmington is pleased to announce that Farmington Electric Utility System rates will return to traditional low levels. This announcement follows the third reduction in power cost adjustment, the recovery of actual cost of fuel and actual cost to purchase power since August, 2023. The changes will be effective with billing cycles beginning January 1st, lowering FEUS rates to one of the lowest in the region. A special edition of "The Mayor's Table" with Mayor Nate Duckett and FEUS Director Hank Adair will explain more in detail about the past year's challenges, and how FEUS has addressed them. Get your gobble on for the annual Turkey Trot 5K & Gobble Wobble two mile run Saturday, November 18th. Races start at Orchard Plaza at 9:00 AM, followed by an award ceremony. Regular registration is open through Wednesday, November 15th. And late registration is open until 1:00 PM Friday, November 17th. All proceeds from the race will support the Tibbetts All Ability Park Foundation. The world premier of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" musical adaptation launches it's National Tour in Farmington. The show opens in collaboration with the Four Corners Musical Theatre Company on Friday, November 17th, and Saturday, November 18th at the Farmington Civic Center.
