Farmington's best will be crowned at the Best of Farmington Banquet on Friday, January 31st. The Museum of Navajo Art & Culture will host two year-long displays, starting Saturday, February 1st, And a nationally recognized bestselling author will visit the Farmington Public Library. The Farmington Chamber of Commerce will honor Farmington's best business, person, and organizations of the year during its annual Best of Farmington Banquet on Friday, January 31st at the Farmington Civic Center. The banquet will be from 6 to 10:00 PM and will feature local food and drinks, along with live music performed by After Midnight. Individuals, companies, and nonprofits will be honored for their contributions to the community during the past year. The Farmington Museum unveils two new local exhibits that will run through 2025. "Visions of Shiprock" showcases, paintings, prints, memorabilia, and poetry about the Shiprock monolith. Dine weavings from the Bob and Mary Culpepper Collection will be showcased in the Culpepper Gallery. Both displays can be seen at the Museum of Navajo Art & Culture in Downtown Farmington. An opening reception will be held from 1 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 1st. Stew and fried bread will be served. The museum's open Wednesday through Saturday at 301 Main Street. "USA Today" bestselling author, Carlene O'Connor will speak at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 4th at the Farmington Public Library. She'll sign copies of her books, following the talk.
